Rescue me

I messed up my fstab file vvhile trying

I to do perform a function. I need a mini Linux distro for one floppy disk,

based on the 2.2 kernel, as my ext2 partitions don’t support the 2.0 kernel.

Robert, from the forums

ext2 is fully supported by both 2.0 and

2.2, so you should be able to access your existing filesystems via vvhichever distribution you’re using vvhich is based on the

2.0 kernel.

A rescue distribution, such as tomsrtbt (Tom’s root and boot), may be of some use, as it fits onto a couple of floppy disks and can be dovvnloaded from the Internet İt features a tfood selection of tools that can be used for system recovery.

Hovvever, you may not need to actually do that to get your machine back up and running, as by booting the machine into single user mode using lınux single at the LILO prompt, then changing /etc/fstab from there using vvhichever text editör you prefer, may sort out your problems.
